The Ghana Card, the national identification card of Ghana🇬🇭, is now ready for Ghanaians living abroad. In a significant move to extend the reach of the Ghana Card, a 10-member team will travel to Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦 , to begin the pilot phase of the registration exercise.

Following the pilot in Ottawa, the registration exercise is expected to expand to other key cities including Toronto, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey. This initiative aims to ensure that Ghanaians in the diaspora have access to the Ghana Card, facilitating easier identification and access to government services.

The rollout is part of a broader effort by the Ghanaian government to ensure that all citizens, both home and abroad, are included in the national identification system, which is critical for enhancing access to services, improving security, and fostering a more inclusive society.
